A convicted felon was arrested Wednesday evening, April 9, 2025, after allegedly breaking into a secured parking garage and fleeing from officers before being found in possession of a loaded firearm, Tukwila Police said.
Just after officers responded to a burglary alarm around 9 p.m. on April 9 in the 14400 block of Tukwila International Boulevard (map below), they found a man inside the garage who did not live at the apartment complex.
When officers attempted to detain him, the man fled on foot, leading to a short pursuit and a physical struggle. Officers were eventually able to subdue and arrest the suspect, discovering a loaded firearm in his possession.
“This turned out to be yet another instance of a convicted felon being illegally in possession of a firearm,” police said in a statement.
The suspect was booked into jail on multiple charges.
