Meet Cassie, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Cassie is a 7-year-old female German Shepherd mix who came to RASKC as a stray and is looking for her forever home.

Not much is known about Cassie’s past, but her scars and missing hind foot seem to suggest that she had a rough life. Cassie can be shy with new people, and it takes a while for her to trust, but once she does, she is a calm and easy-going companion.

Cassie is very food motivated and will snatch up treats as quickly as possible! She is most likely to succeed and thrive in a calm and predictable home that can give her time to adjust, respect her boundaries, and give her a taste of the easy life. Building trust and a relationship with Cassie will be a process, but who doesn’t love a good adventure?  Cassie is sure to be a loyal friend to whoever takes the time to get to know her.

Cassie is overweight and her new family will need to work with their vet to help her slim back down. As a tri-pawed dog, keeping Cassie lean will be important to her health and longevity!

Cassie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! Her adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and companionship she will give, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion and a discount on training through GoodPup.

As Pet of the Week, Cassie’s adoption fee has been reduced!

If you and your family are ready to fall in love with Cassie, please visit her! RASKC is open on weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
