A felony fugitive wanted out of Oregon was arrested Thursday morning, April 10, 2025, after leading Tukwila Police on a brief foot pursuit following the discovery of a stolen vehicle and two firearms.
Just after 10:30 a.m. April 10, a Tukwila Police officer was alerted by a FLOCK Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) that a stolen Range Rover had entered the city.
Officers located the vehicle in the 17500 block of Southcenter Parkway (map below) and confronted the suspect as he exited a nearby business.
When informed he was being detained for investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle, the suspect fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.
During the arrest, he falsely claimed to have ingested fentanyl, prompting a precautionary medical evaluation that determined no treatment was necessary.
A search of the vehicle revealed a stolen firearm and a second unregistered firearm. Officers later confirmed the man was a felony fugitive out of Oregon.
He was booked into jail on multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm (two counts), possession of a stolen firearm, and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
“He tossed out the ‘I just swallowed Fentanyl’ get out of jail free card, which was declined after a medical evaluation,” Tukwila Police said in a statement.
