A teenage male suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following a shooting near the 12400 block of South 124th Street (map below) on Friday night, Feb. 7, 2025, Tukwila Police reported.
Officers were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a dispute among a group of juveniles that escalated into gunfire.
The involved parties reportedly fled in separate vehicles before officers arrived.
Shortly after the incident, police stopped a vehicle near Gateway Drive and Interurban Avenue South matching the description of one of the fleeing vehicles. The occupants were detained, identified, and later released due to insufficient probable cause for arrests.
A local hospital later notified authorities that a teenage male had arrived with a gunshot wound. Detectives interviewed the victim, but he declined to cooperate.
Police emphasized that the facility where the shooting occurred was closed at the time, with no staff or visitors present.
Investigators believe the incident was not random, and the Major Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation.
