The Tukwila Police Department is now accepting applications for its Spring 2025 Community Police Academy, an eight-week program designed to provide residents and local workers with an inside look at law enforcement operations.

“The program is designed to educate the community on the role of the police department while building and strengthening relationships,” Tukwila Police said in a statement.

  • Classes will be held Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., beginning Mar. 4, 2025 at the Justice Center’s Emergency Operations Center.
  • The final session will include a graduation ceremony.

  • Class size is limited, and priority is given to those who live or work in Tukwila.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and have no prior felony convictions.
  • Attendees must commit to at least eight of the 10 sessions.
