A 27-year-old Seattle woman was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 for driving under the influence after police discovered her vehicle up on a sidewalk in the 15700 block of Southcenter Parkway (map below).
Around 3 p.m. Sunday, officers found the vehicle, which was still running, with two women inside who appeared to be passed out.
Concerned that the occupants might wake up and attempt to flee, officers placed spike strips near the vehicle.
While investigating, officers observed an open bottle of alcohol inside the car.
The driver refused to participate in field sobriety testing and was taken to the station for processing before being booked.
The vehicle was impounded.
No injuries were reported, and police did not disclose the identity of the second passenger.
