Two suspects were arrested Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025 in connection with an armed robbery in a parking lot in the 3700 block of South 144th Street (map below), Tukwila Police said.

The robbery was reported shortly before Noon, when a 50-year-old man told officers he was robbed at gunpoint of his jacket and $500 in cash by two individuals.

Officers searched the area for the suspects’ vehicle, but were initially unsuccessful.

However, about an hour later, an officer spotted the vehicle driving in the same area. The officer followed it as it returned to the location where the robbery occurred, according to police.

Officers conducted a high-risk stop, detaining the two occupants of the vehicle without incident. The suspects were positively identified by the victim as those who committed the robbery, police said.

Both suspects, who have prior robbery convictions, were booked into King County Jail on suspicion of robbery.

The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.
