Impact Public Schools announced this week that they have partnered with No More Under and the Matt Griffin YMCA to offer free swim lessons to their 3rd and 4th grade scholars.
“At Impact, we believe in developing the whole child, and swimming is an essential life skill that not only saves lives but also builds confidence and independence in our young people,” organizers said.
“Impact scholars had a fantastic time learning to swim, and we are grateful for the support from No More Under and the Matt Griffin YMCA in making this possible. As we head into the summer season, our students are now equipped with this critical skill, enhancing their safety and enjoyment in and around water.”
Impact Public Schools CEO, Amy Kiyota, expressed her gratitude and excitement for the partnership, stating:
“We are committed to providing our scholars with a well-rounded education that includes essential life skills. Thanks to No More Under and the Matt Griffin YMCA, our students have gained invaluable swimming skills that will benefit them for years to come. This partnership exemplifies our dedication to the holistic development of our students.”
No More Under Executive Director, Chezik Tsunoda, shared her enthusiasm, adding:
“We are honored to partner with Impact Public Schools to provide these essential swim lessons. Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to water safety education, and this collaboration has been a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of these young scholars.”
The event was a huge success, with students enjoying every moment of their swim lessons. This initiative highlights the importance of community partnerships in enhancing educational experiences and ensuring the well-being of our children.
