Volunteers are needed for Tukwila’s 2024 Community Spring Cleanup – and baseball – which will happen this coming Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Meetup and start at Foster Memorial Park (map below), from 2-4 p.m.

“We will be cleaning different areas throughout the city and will reconvene at the park at 4pm. Help us keep our city clean and safe for all to enjoy.”

Following the cleanup, there will be a community picnic at the park and Tukwila Sandlot Baseball for kids at 5 p.m., followed by adult pick-up style baseball at 6 p.m.

Tukwila Sandlot Baseball was created by officers to give kids in the community who face financial and other barriers an opportunity to play for free and learn to love the game in a safe and fun environment. The community also assisted by donating mitts, helmets and gear for those who don’t have any.

This is an every Sunday thing – aka Sandlot Sundays – for kids at 5 p.m. and adults at 6 p.m.

Give their page a like and bring your kids out for fun and friendship.

This is FREE, and no experience is needed.

Foster Memorial Park is located at 13919 53rd Ave S.:
