BECU’s free Shred and eCycle Event is back, returning to Tukwila on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
As part of BECU’s green sustainability initiative, they’re inviting members to clear their clutter and reduce their carbon footprint in an environmentally responsible way.
At each event, they’ll also collect cash, nonperishables, food, clothing and household items to support a nonprofit in your neighborhood.
All events will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and shredding will continue until the trucks are full.
Main Event Highlights:
- Bring up to three grocery bags or two banker boxes of sensitive documents for us to shred at no cost to you.
- You may also bring old TVs, desktop computers, computer monitors, laptops and cellphones for safe disposal. A small recycle fee may apply to some electronic items including printers and VCRs.
- Bring cash, nonperishable food, clothing or small household items to support neighbors in need. Neighborhood nonprofits will be on-site to collect your donations.
- In collaboration with Bike Works, our Tukwila location will accept bike donations that will be refurbished for children and adults in need.
- A group of smiling people wearing work vests in front of a truck with the Shred-it® logo.
