Just after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, Tukwila Police received a 9-1-1 call from a female reporting that she was at a mosque in the 14100 block of Tukwila International Blvd. (map below) and that someone was actively firing a gun inside.
Police say that the reporting party also indicated that people were screaming and running from the location.
Officers rapidly descended on the scene and encountered a very large crowd in the parking lot, but no shooter(s).
“It was determined based on the investigation that no shots had been fired,” police said. “Witnesses reported that several individuals had gotten in a verbal dispute and that one of the involved parties had brandished a firearm before leaving.”
