At approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, officers were dispatched to the report of a shooting at the corner of West Valley Highway and Strander Blvd. (map below).
Arriving officers located an adult male from Renton at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to the hospital.
The case was forwarded to the Major Crimes Unit (MCU).
Road Rage Shooting Investigation on Monday, May 8
Just before 11 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, officers responded to the vicinity of West Valley Highway and Longacres Way (map below) after receiving reports of an illegal discharge in the area.
While enroute, the call was upgraded to a drive-by shooting.
Responding officers located the victim at the scene. Thankfully, the victim was not hit but the victim’s car had been struck by multiple rounds.
Officers were able to identify the suspect vehicle from their Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system and located the suspect vehicle unoccupied in Kent. The vehicle was impounded for evidence pending a search warrant.
