Tukwila Police are reporting that on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at 9:19 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Southcenter Blvd. (map below) for the report of a shooting.
Police say that responding officers located a victim in the parking lot of the apartment complex with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers were able to ascertain that the incident stemmed from a domestic violence altercation involving an adult male that also resides in the same apartment as the victim.
At some point during the altercation, police say that a firearm was produced and discharged.
The suspect who was still inside of the apartment was given commands to exit the apartment but was uncooperative. Officers evacuated apartments in the immediate proximity of the incident and Valley SWAT responded to the scene to assist.
At approximately 12:33 a.m., the suspect exited the apartment and was taken into custody.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing and being handled by our Major Crimes Unit (MCU).
