Tukwila Police responded to a shooting in the vicinity of the 15200 block of Tukwila International Blvd. (map below) on Thursday afternoon, July 15, 2021.

Officers who were nearby at the time of the incident observed a juvenile male fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect refused to stop, and a brief foot pursuit ensued.
Officers were able to take him into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered and the suspect was taken into custody.
Officers located a juvenile male at the scene of the shooting that had been struck by gunfire. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is not believed to be random.
The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating the incident.
Detectives and officers will be on scene for the next several hours processing the scene.
