The City of Tukwila is inviting residents to a public meeting on Wednesday, April 30 to learn about the Boeing Access Road Infill Station and why the project may be at risk of being deferred due to budget challenges facing Sound Transit.
According to the City of Tukwila, the information session will be held April 30 starting at 6 p.m. at the Museum of Flight Skyline Room (map below).
City officials said Sound Transit’s current capital and operational budget constraints have put the proposed infill station at risk of delay.
This meeting is intended to provide information about the project and outline ways community members can advocate for the station to move forward.
The Boeing Access Road Infill Station is planned to serve the South King County area, including Tukwila, SeaTac, Burien, Des Moines and surrounding communities, with improved access to regional transit.
The City of Tukwila said attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the station and understand the factors contributing to the potential deferral.
