Tukwila residents are invited to take part in National Night Out events across the city Tuesday, Aug. 4, with neighborhood gatherings planned at homes, parks, apartments, churches, schools and Southcenter Mall.

The annual event is intended to strengthen relationships among neighbors and between communities and public safety agencies.

The Tukwila Police Department provided a map of local National Night Out locations scheduled for Tuesday evening:

Events are planned at the following locations:

  • 11608 39th Ave. S., 6 to 8 p.m.
  • 3424 S. 141st St., 5 to 7:30 p.m.
  • 14442 46th Ave. S., 5 to 8 p.m.
  • 3810 S. 158th St., Laurel Estates Condos, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
  • 14117 57th Ave. S., 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Southcenter Mall, Third Floor Sky Terrace, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • 5316 S. 144th St., 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Terrace Apartments, 13705 56th Ave. S., 4:30 to 8 p.m., ice cream social
  • Duwamish Park, 11750 42nd Ave. S., 5:30 to 8 p.m.
  • Southcenter Community Baptist Church, 14742 Macadam Road S., 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Riverton Park, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • 4110 S. 139th St., 5 to 8 p.m., with The Witness playing 60s soul music from 6 to 7 p.m.
