SAVE THE DATES: The Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden is inviting the community to celebrate summer with two family-friendly events in July featuring live music, storytelling, nature exploration and ice cream.
These events include:
Discover Your Garden: Family Day will be from 2–6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
The community gathering is designed to encourage visitors of all ages to explore the garden and connect with nature. This event will include live music, interactive storytelling and yoga, along with opportunities to learn about bees and honey by searching for some of the garden’s busiest pollinator plants. Community partners also will host creative and educational activities and demonstrations.
Nature’s Flavors: Annual Ice Cream Social from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 26
The casual summer gathering will offer visitors the chance to sample ice cream flavors from Street Treats, participate in a plant flavor scavenger hunt and enjoy creative exploration throughout the garden.
Organizers said the Ice Cream Social is designed to be a flexible event where guests can stop by briefly or spend more time enjoying a picnic lunch and relaxing in the garden.
Both events are open to the community and aim to encourage residents to discover the natural beauty and educational opportunities available at the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden.
