A driver suspected of DUI was arrested early Monday morning, June 2, 2025 after fleeing from Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers at speeds exceeding 100 mph on southbound I-5 in Tukwila.
According to a WSP social media post, the pursuit began around 4 a.m. when the suspect vehicle was clocked traveling at more than 100 mph.
Troopers initiated a pursuit, but it was quickly terminated due to the driver’s reckless behavior.
An unmarked patrol unit continued tracking the vehicle from a distance and followed it to an apartment complex in Kent, where the driver was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect was arrested for investigation of eluding law enforcement and driving under the influence.
WSP has not released the driver’s identity.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
