Tukwila Police arrested a man described as a “10-time convicted felon” on Saturday night, Mar. 15, 2025 after he jumped from a second-story balcony and resisted officers responding to reports of an unauthorized person inside a vacant apartment.

Officers arrived at the apartment building Saturday night, after a caller reported someone inside a vacant unit. As police approached, someone inside slammed the door shut. Moments later, officers heard glass breaking and saw a man jump from the second-floor balcony to the ground.

Police said the suspect resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody. Officers discovered he had a firearm despite previous felony convictions, including a felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm.

During the arrest process, the suspect claimed to have swallowed narcotics, prompting officers to take him to a local hospital. After receiving medical clearance, he was booked into jail on charges related to firearm possession and his outstanding warrant.

Police did not release the suspect’s name or details of his previous felony convictions.
