Authorities in Tukwila are asking for the public’s help in locating Christian Stephen Hammond, who has been missing since May 2021.

A reward is being offered for information leading to his whereabouts.

Hammond, born August 25, 1989, was last seen visiting his daughter in March 2021 and last heard from on the evening of May 7, 2021. After that, he stopped all communication with his family, which they say is highly unusual.

Family members later discovered a Facebook message indicating that Hammond had been shot and killed, but no official confirmation of his fate has been made.

Nearly a year after his disappearance, on January 25, 2022, Hammond’s 2017 white Ford Fusion (WA license plate BWV5233) was found abandoned at 15854 42nd Ave S. in Tukwila. The vehicle, covered in mold inside, was later impounded and repossessed.

According to his family, Hammond was a devoted father, and suddenly stopping contact with his young daughter was out of character. He was known to frequent Damascus Thrift Shop and Seattle’s Aurora area, and he attended Victory Church in Seattle.

Hammond is described as having brown eyes, black hair in a short cut, and a groomed beard. He has a barcode tattoo with the name “Avyanna” on his ribcage and was last seen wearing a black beaded necklace with a cross.

Anyone with information about Hammond’s disappearance is urged to contact the Tukwila Police Department at (206) 433-1808.
