A Tukwila Police officer was assaulted while responding to an incident involving a vehicle that had gone off the roadway on Wednesday night, Oct. 23, 2023 in the 15900 block of 53rd Avenue South.
Police said that, upon approaching the crashed vehicle, the officer found two highly intoxicated women inside, engaged in a verbal dispute.
As the officer began investigating, one of the women became uncooperative and struck the officer in the head.
The suspect was immediately taken into custody. Due to her level of intoxication, she was transported to a hospital for evaluation before being booked into jail.
The officer did not sustain serious injuries, and this incident remains under investigation.
