A 17-year-old male has passed away as a result of injuries he suffered after being shot at a bus stop in Tukwila on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Tukwila Police said that at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, the juvenile male was shot at a bus stop near the corner of 42nd Ave S. and S. 144th Street (map below).
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
“Based on the initial investigation, an altercation ensued between the victim and another individual at which time the victim was shot by the suspect,” police said.
Police add that this is not believed to be a random incident.
Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating the shooting.
