Northbound SR 99 bridges in Tukwila and south Seattle will be reduced to a single lane from Friday night, June 16, through the morning of Monday, June 19, for bridge and pavement repairs.

In addition, two ramps connecting Tukwila International Boulevard and SR 99 will close the same weekend.

Closure details

  • From 10 p.m. Friday, June 16, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 19, northbound SR 99 will be reduced to one lane over Tukwila International Boulevard in Tukwila and South Cloverdale Street in south Seattle. In addition, the Tukwila International Boulevard on-ramp to SR 99 will close.
  • From as early as noon Saturday, June 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 19, the northbound SR 99 off-ramp to Tukwila International Boulevard will close.

Signed detours will be in place throughout the weekend to guide people around the ramp closures.

Contractors working for the Washington State Department of Transportation are repaving nearly 2.5 miles of SR 99 in both directions between Tukwila International Boulevard and South Cloverdale Street. The work involves grinding away old pavement and laying a fresh course of smooth asphalt. The project is scheduled to finish in August.
