Tukwila Police arrested a road rage suspect on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, who was alleged to have pointed a gun at another driver.
Police say that just after 3 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to the vicinity of Boeing Access Road and E. Marginal Way (map below) after a 9-1-1 caller reported a male in a bright yellow car having pointed a handgun at them during a road rage incident.
As officers arrived in the area, they spotted the suspect traveling towards them in the opposite direction of travel. The suspect produced a firearm at that time and pointed it at one of the officers.
The officer did a u-turn and caught up with the suspect at Southcenter Blvd and Interurban Ave S after observing him throwing the firearm out the window just prior. The suspect exited his vehicle and was taken into custody. The suspect has multiple prior felony convictions.
He was booked into jail and his vehicle was impounded. The firearm was recovered determined to be a realistic looking BB gun with no markings to indicate that it was not a real firearm.
He’s a white guy, so his name isn’t released to the public.
