The 42nd Ave S. bridge in Tukwila’s Allentown neighborhood was closed Wednesday morning, Dec. 15, 2021, due to a load that fell off a semi-truck.

Due to damage sustained to the bridge, it will be closed for an unknown amount of time until engineers can inspect it.

Cause of the accident or what the fallen load consisted of was not released.

No injuries – other than possibly to the aging bridge – were reported.

Police advised drivers to use alternate routes.
