Tukwila Police are reporting that just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2021, a 31-year-old male from Seattle attempted to carjack a KFC delivery truck at gunpoint at the KFC located directly across from the Tukwila Police Station that was full of officers doing their reports and other administrative tasks.
“The driver wasn’t having any of it and the suspect decided it would be wiser to put the gun in his pocket and walk away,” police said.
Officers immediately ran out of the station upon dispatch to the call, rapidly located the suspect nearby and took him into custody without incident.
A gun was located on the suspect’s person.
He was positively identified by the victim and was promptly booked into jail shortly thereafter.
