Tukwila’s Still Waters: Services for Families in Transition has been awarded $11,750 from the Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund from Building Changes.
“The $20,000 that Building Changes awarded our program last July has been important in helping us support our Tukwila students who struggle with housing and food insecurity with our Weekend SnackPacks, especially since our normal sources of food donations have become unavailable and our fund raising events have been suspended during the pandemic,” said Executive Director May Lee. “We are very grateful that this new round of funding, along with other generous support we have received from our community members, businesses, and other comunity partners, will help sustain our program in the months to come as we continue to navigate our way through the pandemic.”
