Don’t know what to do with your Christmas tree?
The City of Tukwila and Waste Management have you covered – just follow these simple rules and they’ll pick up your Christmas tree for free:
- WM will collect trees the first two weeks of scheduled yard waste service in January at no charge for single-family and multi-family Tukwila residences.
- Trees cannot be flocked.
- Remove all decorations and prepare in 2x2x4 feet sections or bundles.

This information can be confusing. Please state on your Christmas tree collection information that you have to pay monthly for yard waste service in order to have your Christmas tree picked up in January. I believe the Free Christmas tree pickup is not for garbage only customers. Please correct me if I got it wrong. Thanks
