Tukwila residents can learn how to turn kitchen scraps into garden compost during a class Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Tukwila Community Center.
The Food Scrap Composting session runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and will cover methods suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces, according to the event announcement.
Participants will learn about bokashi, food digesters and worm bins, with guidance on choosing a system that fits their household while avoiding pests and odors.
The event is supported in part by the King County Solid Waste Division.
