Tukwila Police responded to multiple incidents overnight, including a smash-and-grab style burglary, a warrant arrest, and the recovery of shell casings from an illegal gunfire report, the department said.
Police said that officers were called to the 15900 block of West Valley Highway after reports of illegal gunfire. A large number of shell casings were found and collected as evidence. No injuries were reported.
Separately, Officer Nunez conducted a traffic stop in the 10800 block of Beacon Avenue, where the driver was found to have a warrant for driving while license suspended. The driver was taken into custody and is facing an additional charge of the same offense.
In another incident, Officer Anderson stopped a pedestrian in the 14400 block of Tukwila International Boulevard for a pedestrian violation and discovered that the individual had a warrant for third-degree theft. The person was booked on the warrant.
Later, officers responded to a burglary on Southcenter Parkway in which a suspect used a vehicle to ram the entrance of a business. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Police cleared the business and contacted an employee to report the incident and damage.
The investigations remain ongoing, according to Tukwila Police.
