Meet (and adopt) Ursa, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Ursa is a 5-year-old female German Shepherd who was brought to RASKC as a stray and is looking for her forever home.

“Ursa” means “little girl bear”, and that is exactly what she is! She is cuddly and sweet with a big plush coat. At 63lbs, Ursa is considered a large breed dog.

She knows several commands already and, at just over 5-years-old, has a calmer, more mature temperament. She is friendly with everyone she meets and always ready for her next adventure!  Her only boundary seems to be her tail…paws off that please!  Otherwise, Ursa is very easy-going.

Ursa spent some time in a wonderful foster home who found that she very much enjoys car rides, walks, exploring and napping.  She’s well-trained, polite, and attentive. She’s also somewhat independent, has nice leash manners, and is very sweet. They found Ursa to be mostly mellow but did jump a little bit and they seem to think she may become more goofy as she relaxes into her new surroundings.

Ursa is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles she will give, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion, a discount on online training from GoodPup and a $40 credit from training through Rover.

As Pet of the Week, Ursa’s adoption fee has been reduced.

If you and your family are ready to fall in love with this cudlly and sweet girl, come visit Ursa at RASKC! RASKC is open weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
