A single-vehicle collision in a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) work zone on southbound I-5 near the I-405 interchange in Tukwila caused no injuries early Wednesday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred when the driver struck an attenuator — a safety device designed to reduce the impact of collisions — within an active WSDOT construction area.
Trooper Rick Johnson, a spokesperson for WSP District 2, said there was no indication of impairment.
