Three people were arrested Wednesday night, Feb. 25 after Tukwila Police located two stolen vehicles traveling together, with one crashing near Foster Park, authorities said.
Police said that Special Emphasis Unit detectives began searching around 6 p.m. for a stolen vehicle after receiving a Flock notification alert.
While searching in the vehicle’s last known area, officers received a report of another auto theft that had just occurred.
Detectives then located both the originally reported stolen vehicle and the recently stolen car traveling in tandem north on Macadam Road South, police said.
The vehicles fled from detectives, who did not pursue, according to the department.
Shortly afterward, one of the involved vehicles, occupied by three individuals, struck an object and became disabled just north of Foster Park, police said. All three occupants ran from the vehicle on foot.
Officers responded to assist detectives in searching for the suspects. All three were ultimately located and taken into custody, according to police.
One of the suspects sustained a broken arm as a result of the collision, police said.
