A man was booked into jail for investigation of driving under the influence and assault after allegedly biting a Tukwila Police officer during a traffic stop late Wednesday night, Feb. 11, according to the Tukwila Police Department.
Police said Officer Desmul observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Tukwila International Boulevard at a high rate of speed while driving in the southbound lanes.
The officer caught up to the vehicle in the 9400 block of East Marginal Way South (map below) and conducted a traffic stop.
As officers attempted to detain the male driver, he resisted and began physically struggling with officers, police said. During the struggle, the suspect bit an officer on the forearm, causing injury.
The suspect was later booked into jail for DUI and assault of an officer, according to Tukwila Police.
