Detectives with the Tukwila Police Department Major Crimes Unit arrested an adult male on Jan. 8, 2026 during a search warrant operation connected to an investigation into possession of child sexual abuse material, police said.

According to Tukwila Police, detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Unit who are also members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force carried out the arrest and search warrant at a residence on the 57th Ave South corridor.

The man who was the subject of the arrest warrant was located at the residence and taken into custody.

Police said the arrest was conducted as part of the ICAC Task Force program, which supports state and local law enforcement agencies responding to technology facilitated child sexual exploitation and internet related crimes involving children.

The ICAC Task Force provides investigative and forensic assistance, along with training, technical support, victim services and community education, according to police.

In 2024, ICAC Task Force investigations nationwide resulted in the arrest of more than 12,600 offenders, police said.
