King County emergency officials ordered residents and businesses east of the Green River in parts of Tukwila, Renton and Kent to evacuate immediately on Monday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2025 after a breach in the Desimone Levee created dangerous flooding conditions.
The King County Office of Emergency Management issued a “GO NOW” evacuation notice Monday afternoon for the Orillia area east of the Green River.
Officials said conditions are hazardous and access routes could be lost at any time due to flooding associated with the levee breach.
Emergency managers directed people in the affected area to leave immediately and travel north or south away from floodwaters.
Officials warned residents not to drive or walk through standing or moving water and not to bypass barricades or road closures.

The impacted area is a commercial business park located in the southeast corner of the city, affecting portions of Tukwila, Kent, and Renton. The map below shows the evacuated areas in Tukwila.
There are no residential structures within the affected area in Tukwila. A GO NOW evacuation order was issued, and Tukwila Police assisted with traffic control in the area.
Tukwila residential neighborhoods including Allentown, Foster Point, and Duwamish are not under an evacuation order.
There is currently no evacuation order for areas in Tukwila north of S. 180th Street or west of the Green River.
The Southcenter District remains open at this time.
A temporary repair has been completed with the breach and it is holding.
Those who need emergency evacuation assistance were instructed to call 911. King County said shelter information and ongoing updates are available through its emergency management website.
