A driver was booked into jail for driving under the influence after a head-on crash that injured another motorist on Interurban Avenue South Friday night, Oct. 24, Tukwila Police said.
The collision happened Friday night in the 14400 block of Interurban Avenue South (map below) when a vehicle crossed the center line and struck another car head-on, according to police.
The driver of the second vehicle – an elderly woman – sustained several non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Police said the driver who crossed the center line showed signs of impairment. Officer Mosley obtained a warrant for a blood draw, which was carried out at the station by a certified phlebotomist from a partner law enforcement agency once the warrant was approved.
The suspect was later booked into jail on suspicion of DUI, according to Tukwila police.
