Tukwila police officers responded to a possible burglary in progress late Monday night, Oct. 21, 2025, after a homeowner in the 4400 block of South 118th Street reported suspicious noises and feared someone was trying to break into his house.
According to the Tukwila Police Department, the resident left the home for safety and accidentally locked himself out before officers arrived.
To help, officers used a ladder to climb through a second-story window and let the rest of the team inside to search the residence.
Police said they found no signs of forced entry and no evidence that anyone had entered the home.
The department reported that the incident ended safely with no injuries or arrests.
