Tukwila Police officers handled two major incidents overnight, including an armed vehicle prowl near Southcenter Parkway and a DUI collision on Tukwila International Boulevard, the department reported.
Police said multiple vehicle prowls were reported along Southcenter Parkway late Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025. Witnesses described two suspects, believed to be juveniles or young adults, wearing ski masks and associated with a white Jeep Cherokee.
Officer Bartlett located the vehicle and suspects in a parking lot in the 17900 block of Southcenter Parkway. One suspect was armed with a handgun and was seen prowling a car, according to police. When the suspect spotted the officer, he jumped into the Jeep, which fled onto Interstate 5 before officers could pursue. Several additional prowled vehicles were later located in the area.
Later that night, officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision near Tukwila International Boulevard and East Marginal Way South. A witness told police the driver left the scene on foot. Officers found the driver several blocks away, where a witness confirmed his identity.
Officer Anderson transported the suspect to the Tukwila Justice Center for DUI processing. Police said the driver’s blood alcohol concentration registered at .176, more than twice the legal limit.
