A man was arrested Wednesday evening, Oct. 1, after a stabbing that left one person injured on Ryan Way, according to the Tukwila Police Department.

Police said officers first responded just before 6 p.m. to a welfare check in the 4600 block of Ryan Way (map below). The call was quickly upgraded after reports that one of the involved parties had been stabbed.

Arriving officers found the victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the face. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Officers said they were able to talk the suspect out of a home and take him into custody without incident.

The department’s Major Crimes Unit detectives responded to investigate.

“Based on the initial investigation, this is believed to be an isolated act of violence between two individuals that are known to each other,” police said in a statement.
