Detectives with the Tukwila Police Department’s Special Emphasis Unit arrested a suspected mobile narcotics dealer this month after tracking him across state lines and stopping him as he returned to Washington from California.

Police said the suspect had been dealing drugs primarily around Tukwila International Boulevard, Cascade View Park, and Saar’s Super Saver Foods — the same areas where detectives arrested three other suspected dealers earlier this year.

According to Tukwila Police, the man was apprehended when detectives intercepted him at a fuel stop near the Oregon border. He admitted to having a firearm inside his vehicle despite being a multi-time convicted felon with a pending felony case in King County that prohibited him from possessing weapons.

The vehicle was impounded and held at a secure facility in Cowlitz County until a search warrant was granted. When detectives searched the car, they reported finding more than a pound of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, an unreported stolen firearm, and a fully loaded 30-round magazine.

The suspect denied having any narcotics in the car and claimed he only goes to California to see his family.

“Huge thanks to Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office and SeaTac PD SET for their assistance,” police said,

The suspect’s name has not been released.
