More than 7,300 Seattle City Light customers in Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien were without power Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2025 as crews worked to investigate the cause of a large-scale outage.
According to Seattle City Light’s outage map, the outage began at approximately 1:59 p.m. on June 18 and affected an estimated 7,381 customers.
The outage extends across a wide area stretching from Three Tree Point, Gregory Heights and Sunnydale in Burien on the west, then jumps east to SeaTac, then up north to Riverton Heights, Foster and other neighborhoods in Tukwila.
The utility reported that crews had been dispatched and were investigating the cause of the disruption.
As of 3:02 p.m., the utility estimated that power would be restored by 8:56 p.m. Wednesday.
No specific cause had been identified.
