A routine shoplifting response in Tukwila this week led police to arrest a woman wanted on a no-bail felony warrant for first-degree assault in a domestic violence case, police said.

Tukwila Police officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of South 144th Street (map below) after receiving a report of shoplifting.

When officers arrived, they were told that the two female suspects had returned to a vehicle in the parking lot.

Police located the vehicle and detained both women without incident.

Upon checking their records, officers discovered that one of the suspects had a no-bail felony warrant for first-degree assault with a domestic violence enhancement.

The second suspect also had active misdemeanor warrants.

Both women were booked into jail.
