A vehicle fire temporarily shut down Interurban Avenue South in both directions near Foster Golf Links on Thursday, June 12, 2025, following a collision.
No injuries were reported.
According to Tukwila Police, one of the vehicles involved in the crash became quickly engulfed in flames.
Puget Sound Fire crews responded promptly and were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread further.
Emergency responders closed the roadway while crews worked to safely clear the vehicle and ensure the scene was secure.
Images from the scene showed thick smoke billowing into the air as firefighters approached the burning car.
Tukwila Police advised that the roadway would remain closed until the vehicle could be safely removed.
